The Simpsons- Rome

This artwork is from the episode “I, Carumbus” in which the Simpsons takes place in Ancient Rome. We were required to be as historically accurate as possible. I spent countless hours on research, sketches, and style guides for my team of BG artists. I also took the opportunity to include elements from the Simpson’s usual world wherever possible, including a boat fresco on the wall behind the “sofa”. I consulted with the color department and my Director on including colors from the Simpson’s home.
